Here is where I’ll be posting some recent photos that I’m especially proud of. Check back regularly, as I’ll probably delete old ones to make room for new ones every couple of months maybe? We’ll see how it goes.

I recently went to Washington D.C. for the first time. We only had a few days there so we did a LOT of walking and I messed up my feet/knees kind of badly, but it was worth it because we saw a ton and I got some great shots.

I taught myself some basics of RAW editing in Adobe Lightroom. I’m really excited about the versatility of editing that I can do. Here are a few that didn’t make the flickr cut but that I still really like:

This photo was taken June 5th  from my back yard. Lightning shots are total luck–you have to stand outside for a while clicking the shutter until something happens while you’ve got the shutter open. This is the first real opportunity I’ve had since I’ve owned a tripod to shoot lightning. The other successful shot I got from that storm is on flickr.
